Charged with publicizing the University of Pittsburgh’s remote librarian program, we developed a media list and pitch materials. The result? In less than one month, hits included: stories in the University’s student newspaper, broadcasts on both the student radio and television stations, a cover story in The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, a mention on a local station’s 5:00 p.m. newscast, a spotlight of one of the program’s creators in The Pittsburgh Tribune Review and a story about the program on ResourceShelf, a site accessed nationwide by information professionals.
